Meet Our Physicians
Marc Bernstein, M.D., completed medical school, an internship, a residency and a fellowship at Washington University. He is on the faculty at Washington University where he has received awards for his efforts as an instructor. With more than 15 years of experience, he is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Paul Buse, M.D., completed his medical education at Washington University. He also served an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship with an emphasis on endoscopic treatment of biliary and pancreatic disease. With more than 20 years of experience, he is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Michael Cleary, M.D., attended medical school at Loyola University and completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Michigan. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
David Cort, M.D., a graduate of the University of Miami Medical School, trained at Barnes Hospital and completed fellowships in Allergy/ Immunology and Gastroenterology at Washington University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and has over 20 of experience.
David Lotsoff, M.D., completed medical school at the Washington University School of Medicine. He then served an internship, residency and fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. With more than 10 years of experience, he is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
James Petersen, M.D., graduated from the St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at St. Luke’s Hospital. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Cincinnati. He has more than two decades of experience and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
David Walden, M.D., a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), completed an internal medicine residency at the Baylor College of Medicine. He also completed a gastroenterology fellowship at UTMB and a therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at the University of Toronto. He has more than 17 years of experience and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Bruce Witte, M.D., a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine, completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Washington University Medical Center. During more than seven years at Washington University, he trained in a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal illnesses. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has over 15 years experience.
Michael Zerega, M.D., completed medical school at Washingon University and a residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital followed by a fellowship at Washington University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
Shah Rajesh Shah, M.D., graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, and served as an intern and resident in internal medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.  He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Washington University.

Jack Kelly, M.D., attended St. Louis University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at St. Louis University Hospitals and the University of Minnesota. He did his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Washington University.
